Comau showcases its newest products at Global Industrie Lyon 2025

10 March 2025

Lyon, (FR) 11 March 2025

Comau brings its innovative automation solutions portfolio to Global Industrie Lyon 2025, Hall 3, Booth #3D176, from March 11-14, 2025. Recognized as a cornerstone of industrialization, Global Industrie symbolizes the commitment of industry players to enhance competitiveness and productive efficiency.  Indeed, Comau is leveraging the event to underscore its presence in the country and demonstrate key products and technologies being used to support both national and multi-national firms.

A key highlight at the 4-day event is SmartReach Comau, a next-generation system made in Comau France, that combines the precision of a machine tool with the agility of 5-axis articulation. With its modular architecture, SmartReach Comau can seamlessly operate in confined spaces that traditional machinery cannot easily access, leading to improved Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) while optimizing time and costs. SmartReach Comau is ideal for applications in the automotive, aerospace, energy and other industries where its dynamism, rigidity and precision is in high demand. Furthermore, thanks to its special machine architecture and the fact that SmartReach Comau was developed in full compliance with Comau’s ESG strategy, there is much less energy consumption during machining operation, compared to traditional vertical or horizontal CNC machines. In this way the energy saving can reach up to 40%.

Attendees at the event can also try out Comau’s MATE family of wearable robotics. The  MATE-XT and MATE-XB exoskeletons are designed to reduce biomechanical stress, improve worker ergonomics, and minimize fatigue. These advanced wearables deliver up to a 35% reduction in muscular strain, supporting both upper-body and lower-back movements for a healthier, more productive workforce.

Finally, visitors are invited to discover the S-18 robot, one of Comau’s latest generation of small robots designed for high-speed and precision operations across a broad spectrum of industrial applications. With a compact, durable structure and the company’s signature red robot design. Comau’s S-Family robots (which includes, in addition to the S-18 model on display, the S-13 model with a 13 kg payload) are designed for arc welding, handling, bending applications and other specific applications in food & beverage, foundry, automotive and battery manufacturing.

Aligned with Comau’s long-term commitment to sustainable innovation, its automation solutions integrate smart, scalable, and energy-efficient designs that help businesses optimize resources while addressing the ongoing shortage of skilled labor.

“As an important event dedicated to supporting key national players, Global Industrie provides the perfect platform for Comau to showcase our latest innovations. With a long-standing presence in France and deep-rooted expertise in the automotive sector, we are leveraging our know-how to develop cutting-edge technologies tailored to the needs of French customers across multiple industries. Our unique SmartReach Comau machining solution, which is specifically designed for e-mobility and aerospace, along with the S-Family of robots, reinforces Comau’s commitment to delivering advanced automation solutions to companies of all sizes and sectors.”
