Comau receives a delegation from Austrian companies to present its most innovative technologies and strengthen its presence in the local market

Grugliasco, November 28

Yesterday, a delegation from Austria’s industrial automation companies paid a visit to Comau, a global leader in automation and robotics. The meeting, organized in collaboration with the Austrian Consulate General – Commercial Section in Milan, aimed to provide an overview of the main trends and innovations in the field of robotics designed and manufactured by Comau in Italy and was an opportunity to share technological knowledge and discuss new opportunities for collaboration.

During the visit, representatives from Austrian companies had the opportunity to explore the innovative solutions developed by Comau, with a focus on collaborative robotics technologies, sustainable automation and artificial intelligence applied to manufacturing

One example is the collaborative robot Racer-5 COBOT with the MI.RA/Picker solution. This fully automated and smart vision system excels in part picking, with the ability to recognize and grasp homogenous objects. It showcases the exceptional precision and flexibility of Comau’s vision products.

Or the new TPX Robot Teach Pendant that transforms the way users maneuver, program, and monitor robots with a full touchscreen display, intuitive interface, and virtual simulation tools.

The Racer-5 SE (Sensitive Environments) will also be showcased. With a maximum payload of 5 kg and reach of 630 or 800 mm, this robot is MOCA (Materials and Objects in Contact with Food) and ISO-6 Cleanroom certified. The Racer-5 SE is designed for optimal use even in the presence of dusts or other aggressive chemical agents, ensuring the greatest possible reduction of the risk of contamination, in settings such as chemical, pharmaceutical and food production.

The visit to Grugliasco provided an opportunity to field-test Comau’s MATE XT and MATE XB wearable robotics solutions. These exoskeletons, designed for the upper and lower limbs respectively, demonstrated how wearable robotics can significantly reduce biomechanical loads, enhance ergonomics, and alleviate worker fatigue.

“International collaboration is key to driving innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of companies. Comau is constantly working to strengthen its innovation network, as well as to expand its presence in international markets. This day allows us to spread even more knowledge about our advanced technologies in the Austrian market”, explains Christoph Anding, Global Sales Digital Products & Partner Management
