Comau showcases its e-mobility portfolio at the Batteries Event 2024 in Lyon

Lyon (France) Oct. 16

Comau participates at Batteries Event 2024, (Booth C45 – UPCELL Alliance Village), being held October 16-18 at the Convention Centre in Lyon to highlight its end-to-end e-Mobility technology portfolio.

As a provider of complete services for the entire battery production system, Comau’s offer includes dedicated solutions for battery cells, modules, packs and trays including recycling processes.
Comau supports companies in the industry in managing any battery assembly operation, achieving important results such as short time to market, process development support for an evolving product, and assembly line modularity and easy reconfigurability.

Confirming that Comau is playing an increasingly crucial role in this industry, is its presence at the trade fair in the same exhibition area as  ‘Upcell- European Battery Manufacturing Alliance’. Comau had in fact joined this alliance in 2023 to help create a production chain in Europe for batteries.

At the fair, Comau is also presenting its offering as a partner of Ensemble with a shared stand (C54). Ensemble is a partnership of European battery manufacturing companies with the common goal of working together to accelerate the European battery market. Each Ensemble member contributes a crucial element to the battery value chain and, in this context, Comau represents the supplier of the cell formation process, which is the last and fundamental portion of the cell manufacturing.

For the European battery industry to succeed globally and, it is necessary to invest in the continuous technological progress of the sector. Sharing the mission of Ensemble and Upcell – European Battery Manufacturing Alliance -, Comau is pleased to  give its contribution to a strategic network with innovative technological solutions designed to accompany European companies in the e-Mobility process’.

Gian Carlo Tronzano, Head of e-Mobility Global Competence Center

Comau’s participation in Ensemble and Upcell is also joined by other major partnerships for the development and expansion of the European battery industry last year:  the European Battery Alliance (EBA), the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA) ,of which Gian Carlo Tronzano is an Executive Board Member, to which he is also participating in the European Technology & Innovation Platform (ETIP) for batteries.
