Shanghai, Sep 13, 2022 – On August 30, Geely Guiyang Engine Plant bestowed the “Excellent Supplier Award” to Comau in recognition of its outstanding contributions during the MP engine project. The company’s project management team attended the award ceremony.
At the ceremony, Yao Benshun, General Manager of the Guiyang Engine Plant, once again thanked Comau for its support and full cooperation, as it was only through the joint efforts of everyone involved that the current results could be achieved. At the same time, he expressed hope that the team will make further efforts toward the retooling of the LPNA engine project, and that moving forward, the companies will continue to work together.
During the years of cooperation with Geely Automobile, Comau has taken a main position in the supplier system with high-quality products and first-class service, leading Comau and Geely to become important strategic partners. During the upgrading of the engine assembly lines, auxiliary lines and machine tools for the Guiyang Engine Plant MP project, which coincided with the pandemic outbreak in Shanghai, Comau overcame various difficulties to deliver the assembly equipment on site. When formal machining parts could not be available, temporary white parts were used as an emergency solution to support the on-site commissioning. After arriving in Guiyang to complete the project during quarantine, Comau staff went to the factory to get started, working closely with Geely personnel to efficiently complete various tasks. With Comau’s support, the Guiyang Engine Plant finally reached its milestone goals and entered mass production ahead of schedule.
