Turin, February 12, 2020 – Comau’s technologies and know-how can not be missed at the 14th edition of A&T – Automation & Testing – the Turin event dedicated to Industry 4.0 held at the Lingotto Fiere Oval February 12-14. The event includes exhibitions and conferences to help companies discover the latest technological innovations for the smart factory and digital manufacturing, in which Comau will be present in an exhibition space (Stand E62), as well as participating in various public meetings.
In Comau’s area, guests will get to know and try the innovative exoskeleton for upper limbs – MATE, developed to support the work of industrial operators by reducing physical fatigue. For the entire duration of the fair, Comau wearable technology specialists will be available to visitors to provide targeted information and advice on the possibilities of using this advanced wearable robotics solution within their production processes.
With regard to participation at the panels, on February 13, Comau will participate in the conference organized by SIRI – Italian Association of Robotics and Automation called “Robots, always digital, for the companies of the future”, scheduled from 10AM to 1PM in the Conference Area Room. Arturo Baroncelli – Comau Marketing Business Development, SIRI honorary member and IFR past president – will introduce and moderate the event, presenting the “State of industrial robotics today” which will provide updated data of a sector in constant evolution. Ennio Chiatante, Comau’s Global Business Development for Electrification, also will speak at 10:30 on “Educational robotics: e.DO Experience”, during which he will present the open-source modular robot e.DO, developed by Comau for professional training and to bring young people closer to the world of robotics. Arturo Baroncelli will close the event with “The state aspects of robotics”, demonstrating how robots can improve and support human work today in the industrial sector and inside factory 4.0.
To get to know the details of an interesting Comau application case in the logistics sector, you can participate in the Round Table “Logistics 4.0 and automation – From order collection to integrated management: how to structure yourself to create added value ” in the Competence Point – Logistics Room from 10:30AM to noon on February 13. Marco Busi, Comau Head of General Industry Product Solutions, will explain the characteristics and advantages of automation and logistics solutions created by Comau in collaboration with its own system integrator for an important company in the packaging sector. Thanks to Comau robots, it was possible to manage the building of displays necessary to contain products of variable shapes and quantities, their packaging, and the final storage phase of the displays on pallets; as a direct result, now all processes are more flexible, accurate, fast and productive. The automation carried out also allowed the company to assign the operators assigned to these tasks, previously managed manually, to tasks with greater added value, updating their skills with a view to managing and controlling the process.
